CENTRAL PARK, NYC
XXI chiffon blouse / American Apparel accordion maxi skirt / Cambridge Fluro / Glint & Gleam studded bracelet / Steve Madden Grettta / H&M peacoat / Karen Walker Number One
AS STATED IN MY PREVIOUS . . . post [here], my mom and I made an excursion to the Big Apple around two weeks ago (or five days right after Coachella)! It was our first time visiting the city that never sleeps. And while I would consider myself a lover of the city rather than the suburbs, New York City was like nothing I'd experienced before (both good and bad). Surprisingly though, the weather was actually quite similar to back home in sunny California... until the second day of my trip when it rained cats and dogs and basically all hell broke loose for us.
We did mostly tourist-esque things during our time as we were only there for a minimal three days, primarily to visit NYU's campus. Ergo, this day is the only day you will see me sporting these 6 inch plats. [I held my chucks dear and near to my heart for the remainder of the trip.] Nonetheless, NY was beautiful and I anticipate my return to the hustle and bustle of the city. So truly, until next time, NYC!
xx Amy

THE LONG OVERDUE COACHELLA POST
And like the title reads, this is a way, way, way long overdue post. If you follow me on instagr.am (@amyvagabond), you've probably already seen all the documentation that went on during the actual festival, but if you haven't, here are some grainy photos from my three day excursion into the coldest desert I've ever been to. Because Coachella guidelines explicitly state that DSLRs aren't permitted on festival grounds, I stocked up on Fuji Film disposable cameras. As a Coachella newbie, my friend Jasmine and I felt pretty prepared, floppy hat and hiking backpack in hand. Some of our favorites were Neon Indian, Girls, The Black Keys, JUSTICE, Florence + The Machine, Miike Snow, Girl Talk, and of course, the unforgettable SNOOPDREWHIZTUPAC50EMINEM et cetera.
The week coming back I was hit hard with school books and suffered from some major post-Coachella blues. It didn't help that I was also wait listed to my dream school, UCLA. Thus, my first-time ever visiting New York seemed imminent as NYU and UC San Diego were the final contenders on my road to university. Then literally just a couple of days ago, I was admitted from the wait list! As I was totally dejected during my time of, what I thought was, rejection, I let my grades plummet and so now I've been working hard to get them back up, albeit I graduate in less than 30 days. Ergo, if you don't see me for a while again, it'll be strongly due to the fact that I'll be fighting to keep my place as a Bruin! And my sincerest apologies if everything seems so vague and rushed because I could honestly go on and on and on about the past month, but I highly doubt that anyone would be interested in reading my novella. So until next time!
xx Amy

getting high
Only got a limited quantity in stock! I was also going to take all new product photos (something that'd have to wait until tomorrow) since we've changed the line a bit this S/S '12 but decided against it because of my good ole friend, procrastination, and just posted the new line up RIGHT NOW. Anyways, hope ya'll enjoy! Get HIGH. Waisted. xx

suitable for sweat part 1
Via nastygal
SLOWLY AWAITING... the days until my Coachella wristband arrives beautifully and gloriously in the mail. I just purchased this cut-out cream dream by REVERSE and see it suitable for the desert and sun rays, aside from the weird tan lines I'd get. These boots are pretty cool too.
